I just got my new Stitch Fix box, and my stylist did a GREAT job this month!
My fifth Stitch Fix has arrived!! If you're not familiar with Stitch Fix, check out this post here to see what it's all about. My stylist this time was Michelle, again!!! I requested that she do my March fix, since she did such a good job with my February box.
Check out the link for my first Stitch Fix here, my second Fix here, and my fourth Fix here. (I didn't blog about my third fix... it arrived the day before Easter and two days before a week-long Disney vacation).
What is Stitch Fix?
Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. You tell them all about your style, size, and budget preferences, and your personal stylist sends you a box of clothing and accessories to try on at home. Each Fix is unique and hand-picked just for you. You keep what you like, and return the other items for free!
My main reasons for using Stitch Fix:
- I am a SAHM. I cannot take a 5 year old and 2 year old shopping, while maintaining my sanity.
- I live really far from shopping options. I live 40 miles from Target and Kohl's. I live 115 miles from Gap, Anthropologie, H&M, Dillards, etc. I can't just run out and find cute, good quality, unique clothing, unless I make a day trip of it. And there's no way I could do it if both of my girls are with me. It would not be fun at all!
- When I factor in gas costs for a shopping trip, it's worth it to pay slightly higher prices through Stitch Fix. Even if I could pay a few dollars less by shopping sale racks at the mall, the travel expenses and headaches to get to the mall aren't worth the savings. Plus, Stitch Fix makes me go outside my comfort zone, and I need that!
Before I move on to the review, I want to share my referral link. I'm not compensated by Stitch Fix for this review. BUT... if you use my link to sign up, I'll get a small credit to use towards my next 'fix.' I would be really grateful for a referral credit!
The Review
Had the fit been a little better on the items, I would have kept the entire box. That has been the theme of my last couple boxes. I feel like maybe I need to alter my sizing info on my style profile?
DANIEL RAINN #7126-195
Carrieann Crochet Detail Tie-Neck Top: $68.00
This shirt was a little large, but looks great as a tunic with black skinnies. It also came with a little cream colored tank too, since the shirt itself is sheer.
RETURNED:
MOON COLLECTION #6854-218
Ariella Embroidered Hem Top: $48.00
I asked for a nice denim chambray top. While I love this shirt and embroidery, the material is too delicate for me. I ended up purchasing one here.
PAPERMOON #6864-544
Kelly Dress: $64.00
This dress fit very slim. Until I tried it on, I was sure I would be keeping it! It showed my mommy belly too much for my liking.
BANCROFT #6458-331
Kara Hammered Coin Long Necklace: $34.00
While I love this necklace, I had just purchased one nearly identical from Lia Sophia clearance here.
SKIES ARE BLUE #6861-610
Alexa Embroidery Detail Tank: $48.00
This top is lovely, albeit sheer. I would have kept it, except it runs HUGE. I probably needed an XS in this one.
All - in - all, I was very pleased with this month's box. I asked for boho looks, a denim chambray shirt, and a long necklace. Heather, my stylist did such a good job knowing my style that she sent pieces I had literally just purchased elsewhere. I edited my style profile a bit more, so hopefully my fall box will have tops that fit a little better.
I'm also trying out this whole capsule wardrobe thing, but that's another post for another day :)
